Mark is a veteran C-suite executive who brings 20 plus years of experience in senior leadership roles to coaching and leadership development. Mark is passionate about partnering with executives, managers and teams to strategically and creatively develop the behavioral growth required to achieve their business goals.
Mark’s strengths are working with executives and teams on building a strong team culture, fostering creativity and strategic risk taking, embracing change, and dealing with conflict. He also excels working with people new to management roles who need help to develop their leadership style and navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead of them.
Mark’s business career has been in the media world, most recently as the Senior Vice-President and General Manager of TSN (The Sports Network), the #1 Specialty Network in Canada. During his career he became highly regarded for recognizing and developing exceptional talent both in management positions and on screen. A strategic thinker, Mark continuously innovated and built brands. He is an experienced negotiator, who handled multi-million-dollar rights agreements, as well as individual talent contracts. Mark has worked cross-functionally across an organization including HR, finance, sales, brand partnerships, and marketing. He also sat on two company boards.
Mark is a 2-time Gemini Award winner for production excellence, and his teams won 40 Canadian Screen Awards. In 2012, The Hockey News ranked him in the Top 20 of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential People in Hockey. In 2016, Ryerson University inducted him into the School of Media Wall of Fame. In 2018, he was recognized by Special Olympics as the Volunteer of the Year.
Mark lives in Toronto with his wife Laurie, and two sons Matthew and Pierce.
