Consulting: Turning an Organization into a Community

Consulting Case Study:

Elevate was contracted in a consulting capacity by a mid-size, consumer-facing organization to get to the bottom of its reputation issues. Through one-on-one interviews with the company’s 28 top players, Elevate developed a keen understanding of the key issues undermining the business: lackluster communication, working in silos, and a shortage of clear direction from the senior management and leadership teams. In the spirit of turning the organization into a community, Elevate spearheaded and moderated Town Hall Meetings at which coworkers were encouraged to express themselves and actionable recommendations were made. These gatherings ignited such company-wide innovations as cross learning, job shadowing, increased social opportunities, and an invigorated use of social media as a tool to generate internal and external engagement with the company.

A survey conducted 8 months after Elevate’s initiatives indicated a substantial improvement in quality across all touchpoints.
